The fireworks last night were absolutely amazing.

I have to preface this by telling you about our street. It's really wide, because it's actually two one way streets, divided by a wide median. The median is like a second front yard, people set up volleyball nets and wading pools out there on the weekends. Down the street about 5 houses is a major thoroughfare, 58th Ave. Across 58th is a humongous area known as Lutz Field, which has a bunch of ball fields and some batting cages. Lutz Field is where the city of Arvada does their fireworks show from...so we pulled our chairs out to the median and we had a front row view. The traffic was incredible, everyone wanted to park on our street. We felt so fortunate to be where we were. When it was over, we just loaded up our chairs, crossed the small one way street, and went into the house. Amazing!
