Whatever, just crash it Bob...

No matter how much passion and love there is in a household, there are problems. Always.

I feel like I've wasted the entire day being sullen and silent. Sometimes being silent is better than not being heard.

On the plus side, if you could call it that, is I've read nearly an entire book in one day. I just started it yesterday, after finishing "Fatal North" which was about a failed 1871 attempt to reach the North Pole. The ship, "Polaris" suffered the probable murder of it's Captain by his mates, and the eventual abandonment of 19 crew members on an ice floe in the Arctic. They survived there for 6 months before being rescued. Completely engrossing. I sent it home with Dy and started reading this one, called "Runaway Me", which is an absorbing true account of Evan Cutler, who ran away after being abused at 15 and suffered everything from hunger, homelessness, arrest, molestation, rape, drug use and prostitution. All in the name of survival. He used his own money to publish 7000 copies of the book.

I just finished it a few minutes ago and spent the next few minutes searching the internet to see if Evan's dream of starting a National Resource called "The Fifteen Fund" ever came to fruition. It looks like not only did that never get off the ground, his self-made publishing company appears to have disappeared, and the last online presence I can find of him is from the year 2000. Interesting, isn't it?

So that's about it. An entire day and evening spent reading. I could have done worse.
