Desert Sand Mica

Whatever, just crash it Bob...

Flo has a very thoughtful post today. It's something a lot of us are dealing with, have dealt with...or hope to never have to deal with.

His son left us today, and my son left last Tuesday...the lives of our children are spent primarily with the ones we could no longer make enough concessions for in order to have the luxury to being present in (our childrens) lives...I am one of the few Moms the system needed to make an example of, and that is the story.

A divorce with kids is heartbreaking. Some people stay together, just to avoid it. But there are those among us, friends and family alike that decide that rather than play games with our children's hearts and minds, that it is best to unselfishly put our own feelings aside for the happiness, health and well-being of their children. It's rare, but it happens.

I'm so glad and extremely thankful that Dy and Mark's situation has shown that they have only Emma's interests at heart. At least that's how it appears, and it's how they operate. Maybe they're both screaming their heads off inside, wishing for selfish outcomes that only hurt the other person. But I don't think so.

And how damn nice it is.
